WinFakt upset Na`Vi, SK down Xapso

The upper bracket quarter-finals saw Natus Vincere get upset 2-0 (14-16, 9-16) by WinFakt while SK Gaming cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win (16-6, 16-13) over Danish Xapso.

WinFakt started as counter-terrorists on de_train and jumped to a 5-0 lead before Na`Vi could reply. Strong play by the Ukrainians won them five of the next six rounds, and at 5-6 it looked like the team led by Sergey "starix" Ischuk was ready to run away.

However, Aleksi "allu" Jalli's strong play kept the Finns within an arms reach as they fought back to end the half with a 10-5 lead. Second half started with Na`Vi going up 4-0, before the trading of rounds began. The Ukrainian team actually had a chance to lock it away, but Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko missed a saving Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä by a few seconds who then went on to win the following save round for WinFakt.

The strong individual play by the Finnish side continued as Verkkoperä kept getting entry kills for his team. Na`Vi mounted a comeback towards the end, but Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm's AWP ace in the final round secured a 16-14 win for WinFakt on the opening map.

Next up was de_inferno where the tides seemed to turn quickly with Na`Vi winning the opening counter-terrorist pistol round thanks to there kills from in-game leader Ischuk. WinFakt's desert eagle buy on round two proved unsuccessful as Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev and Ischuk picked up two kills each and forced the Finns to save.

On round four, Miikka "dRiim" Toroi won a 1v2 situation where Yegor "markeloff" Markelov literally stood on top of his head without noticing him. Rest of the half kept going back and forth with the terrorists benefiting financially, setting WinFakt up for a 8-7 lead at half.

Second half saw WinFakt win their counter-terrorist pistol round and Na`Vi's force buy attempt on round two. The Ukrainians stood no chance in the second half as they were shut down by Verkkoperä and Fagerholm, with Hannu "H^N" Pohjalainen scoring four frags on the final round to secure a 16-9 win. Meanwhile on another server SK Gaming was facing Xapso. On de_mirage the Swedes started off strong as terrorists thanks to Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's four kill pistol round. Xapso couldn't match SK's tempo on the map and fell behind 5-10 at half, losing 6-16 overall.

trace proved to be too good for his countrymates 

After a 16-6 victory on the opening map, the second map was de_forge which SK is still undefeated on. Despite starting as terrorists, Morten "coloN" Johansen's team went on a nice run and lead by 9-6 at half.
